Feeling Overwhelmed by Perimenopause Advice?
Are you somewhere between perimenopause and menopause—and feeling like your wellness to-do list is a mile long? You are not alone!
If you’re anything like me, you’re doing your best to feel good, age gracefully, and navigate the whirlwind of advice flying at us from every direction. While it’s amazing that this stage of life is now being taken seriously, the sheer volume of information can be quite exhausting.
Recently, I had a day that filled my soul. I caught up with two of my best friends—you know, the kind of friends you can talk to for hours without missing a beat. We’re all in our 40s, and we laughed at how our conversations now revolve around all things perimenopause: morning light, protein timing, hormone therapy, gut health tonics, weight training, step counts, carb cycling, salt in our water… and breathe.
At one point, I said, “This is why our cortisol is up—trying to manage the stress of lowering our cortisol!” Sound familiar?
The truth is, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution for navigating this stage of life. But the good news? There are so many smart, encouraging experts out there who make it easier to learn and decide what works for YOU.
Here are my 7 favorite perimenopause resources to help you sort out the advice and feel less overwhelmed. Hopefully, they’ll help you, too!
The Mel Robbins Podcast
Mel Robbins is a powerhouse of motivation and real talk. Her advice feels like it’s coming from a big sister who just gets it. One of her recent episodes—“Try it for 1 Week: 3 Small Habits that Change Your Body, Energy, and Life”—dives into three science-backed habits for health and happiness. These were pulled from 53 conversations with top health experts, and guess what? They’re simple and totally doable. I found it a very helpful episode to help gain clarity amongst all the messages coming our way for how to live a healthier lifestyle during this stage of life. Give it a listen!

Dr. William Li
I thoroughly enjoy listening to Dr. William Li and his wealth of knowledge on how the right foods can fight disease and support longevity. He’s a medical doctor, scientist, and author of Eat to Beat Disease and Eat to Beat Your Diet. His advice is practical, empowering, and totally non-restrictive. A great resource for using food as medicine and reducing inflammation as our bodies change.

You Don’t Have to Do It All
Let’s be real—we’re not robots. You don’t have to cold plunge while tracking protein macros and meditating on the treadmill. It’s okay to pick the things that feel right for you. Listen to your body. Take what works and leave the rest.
